The Trench edition for women is a longer and slimmer fit to our STABLE Mackintosh with a detachable inner layer for extra warmth. It is belted and finished with clean-cut edges and a longer collar.
We designed our Mack as a simply tailored coat made from the traditional Mackintosh fabric of 2 layers of cotton interlined with a waterproof membrane and linen with hand-selected Irish linen. It is a must have for travel, city or country wear. A classic cut with tailoring is to the highest standard.

Until I found Stable of Ireland I had abandoned hope of finding Irish fibres and craftsmanship combined with contemporary cut and styling. My trench coat is like a magic cloak. It lifts my spirit and elevates my outfit whenever I wear it and gives me the confidence to handle whatever the day throws at me, including rain, hail or unexpectedly running into an ex.
This is a gorgeous garment; beautifully made and supremely comfortable to wear. The colour is a flattering soft blue and cut has a classic and timeless feel. I wear it all the time and am delighted I bought it.
Great coat. Can’t fault it. Got it in time for autumn as a shorter alternative to a trench coat. Colour really stands out as distinctive but still neutral enough to go with most things. (I have already had good comments! ). Fit is great. Neat and comfortable. Looking forward to wearing it for quite some years ahead. !!
